Overview
DERI is growing fast, and will grow significantly more in the coming months. As a collective, together with HP and CIMRU, we are really starting to acquire competence in our research topics: we all have knowledge and expertise in our areas now. We face the challenge of managing and fostering all this knowledge: we have so many people, so many projects, so many topics!
To stimulate our internal collaboration, to learn about our research, and to show the outside world what DERI is working on, we are organising the first CIMRU/DERI/HP Seminar on December 15th 2005, the day of the Christmas party.
The seminar will be a formal event, like a workshop. Each student will submit a paper and present it; presentations will be grouped into sessions, and presenters will be kept to their time limits. The seminar proceedings will be published as a DERI technical report, a yearly scientific status update. All research staff in DERI will attend the seminar. It will be a celebration of our joint work, and sparkle discussions and interest into your topic.
